After racing in Spain from 2003 to 2007, he became the youngest ever Champion of the FIM European Superstock Championship in 2008.
For the following two seasons, Loris stepped up to the FIM Superstock 1000 series before moving to World Superbikes with the Kawasaki Racing Team, achieving two wins, 14 podium finishes, two Superpoles, and two fastest laps.
In 2015, he switched to MotoGP with Yamaha Forward Racing Team and then raced for the Avintia Racing Team for the 2016 and 2017 seasons.
In 2018 he switched back to World Superbikes with Gulf Althea BMW Racing and the following year he joined the Ten Kate Racing Team.
